Crossroads
When Sophie’s twin brother Simon gives in to peer pressure and breaks the law, she is desperate to help him. Can she combine her nan’s traditional knowledge with the lessons of modern Australian law, and point Simon in a better direction?
Maybe Nan was telling them that sisters—and brothers—should look after and protect each other? I want to do that for Simon, she thought. I hope he’ll always look after me, too.
Crossroads is part of the Yarning Strong series and aimed at young readers aged 10-14 years.
Reviews
"Yarning Strong aims to reach out and engage all young people – both Indigenous and non-Indigenous – and deepen their awareness and understanding of what it’s really like to be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person living in contemporary Australia."
